The original idea for the piece you see above actually came about from a sketch I was working on at the time for a client who runs a high profile hair salon in London. The above wasnt quiet what I had in mind at first. It was only after scanning it in at the incorrect resolution (1bit black and white). When it opened up it looked pretty lame so then I spotted the thumbnail that was in my scans folders, which you can see on the left.

Looking at it and squinting I figured that there seemed to be a splattered ink effect near here hair. So taking this rough thumb I went about using it as a model, or basis, for the above piece.

The image you see immediadtely left was the original sketch that I had scanned in. There were a few other sketches I had made but they reflect my work in progress.
